2024 Optica Advanced Photonics Congress

Overview

The 2024 Optica Advanced Photonics Congress is an extensive event that encompasses a series of eight thematic sessions, each delving into recent advancements in optical materials, optical signal processing, optical communications, and integrated optics.

Quantum Science and Engineering

A prominent theme across many of the thematic sessions of the congress is the building blocks of quantum science and engineering, which are poised to lay the groundwork for future quantum information processing and quantum-enhanced fiber optic networks.

AI and Machine Learning in Photonics

Another focus is the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in optical design and networks. The congress will examine how photonics is being employed to implement and enhance the performance of machine-learning techniques.

Research and Collaboration Opportunities

The event provides opportunities for presenting research, interacting with industry leaders, and finding potential collaborators. Accepted and presented papers will be published on Optica’s publishing platform and indexed in databases such as Ei Compendex, Scopus, and Google Scholar, ensuring widespread impact and visibility.

Student Participation

Students can participate in paper competitions, gaining recognition for their outstanding work. Competition winners will be acknowledged in the program book and meeting app, and will receive free registration for a future Optica meeting.

Registration and Deadlines

Advance registration is open, with an early bird deadline set for July 2, 2024. Participants are encouraged to register early to take advantage of discounts. This congress signifies Optica’s commitment to advancing the science and technology of photonics and providing a dynamic platform for the community. The event not only contributes to growth and innovation in optics and photonics but also reflects the vibrant and forward-thinking community that continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in this dynamic field.
